BATS: Legal or Not go to www.dixie.org and click on Dixie Youth Baseball, then clck on the RULES tab, then under the rules tab click on 2012
Legal Bats. There are pictures of all legal composite bats for 2012. The 2012 Rule Book also decribes all
legal bats.
2012 Dixie Youth, Dixie Boys, and Dixie Softball: Our Dixie Baseball and Softball League registration in now underway. The last day
to register will be February 15th. Please print a copy of the 2012 Registration form from this web site, fill it out
and mail it in. We are currently accepting registration for ages 3-4, 5-6, 7-8, 9-10 11-12 and 13-14. Don't
forget the last day of registration is February 15th.
2012 COACHES MEETING
: The next coaches meeting for
team coaches will be the Player Selection Meeting on Sunday February 19th. 13/14 age group Coaches will meet at 1:00
PM, O-Zone will meet at 2:00 PM, 9/10 at 3:00 PM and 7/8 Machine will select at 4:00 PM. The Coaches packets and more
information will be handed out at this meeting.
2012 T-Ball Try Evaluation Day - All
player that have wants to play T-Ball this year must fill out a registration form and turn it in by February 15th. All
players that registered MUST attend a player evaluation day on Saturday March 3, 2012 at 10:00 AM at the Shreveport Dixie
Complex. ALL PLAYER MUST ATTEND THIS SESSION. All Coaches will be at this evaluation to observe the players and the
draft will the next day, Sunday March 4th at 2:30 to draft our teams.
2012 PRE SEASON TOURNAMENT:
The 2012 Shreveport Dixie Pre-Season tournament is planned to Start on Friday March 16th. Each
team will play two pool games and then be seeded into a Single Elimination Bracket. See you League VP to enter the tournament.
The Lawson Brandon Memorial
Tournament: The Lawson Brandon Tournament will be held April 19-20, 2012. We would
like to see as many of our Shreveport Dixie Teams enter this tournament. For more information call Stan Hensley at 318-550-1731
